Example 1
Area of a Sector
Find the area of a sector of a circle with radius 6 cm if angle of sector is 60 degrees. (Use pi = 22/7)
Calculation Steps:
- 1Identify parameters: r = 6 cm, θ = 60 degrees.
- 2Apply formula: A = (θ/360) * pi * r².
- 3Calculation: (60/360) * (22/7) * 6 * 6 = (1/6) * (22/7) * 36 = (22/7) * 6 = 132/7 ≈ 18.86 sq cm.
Solution18.86 sq cm
