Example 1

Modulus of Complex Number

Find the modulus of complex number z = 3 + 4i.
root αroot βy = ax² + bx + c

Calculation Steps:

  1. 1Identify real part x = 3, imaginary part y = 4.
  2. 2Apply modulus formula: |z| = √(x² + y²).
  3. 3Calculation: √(3² + 4²) = √(9 + 16) = √25 = 5.
