Principal Value calculation

Find the principal value of sin⁻¹(-1/2).

Calculation Steps:

  1. 1Let sin⁻¹(-1/2) = θ. Then sin(θ) = -1/2.
  2. 2Range of sin⁻¹ is [-pi/2, pi/2].
  3. 3Since sin(pi/6) = 1/2, sin(-pi/6) = -1/2.
  4. 4Principal value is -pi/6.
