Sum of Infinite GP

Find the sum of the infinite GP: 1, 1/2, 1/4, ...

Calculation Steps:

  1. 1Identify first term a = 1, common ratio r = 1/2.
  2. 2Since |1/2| < 1, use infinite GP sum formula: S_inf = a / (1 - r).
  3. 3Calculation: 1 / (1 - 1/2) = 1 / (1/2) = 2.
