Every day, humans produce millions of tons of waste. Much of this trash ends up in landfills or oceans, harming wildlife and polluting the air. Recycling is a simple way to help protect our planet. When we recycle, we collect used materials like paper, plastic, glass, and metal, and turn them into new products. This saves energy and natural resources. For example, recycling paper means fewer trees need to be cut down. Recycling also reduces the amount of space needed for landfills. Many cities have special bins where residents can separate their recyclable trash from regular waste. By making a small effort to recycle, each of us can make a big difference in keeping the Earth clean and green.
