Understanding Gravity

Passage Text

Gravity is an invisible force that pulls objects toward each other. It is what keeps your feet on the ground and makes apples fall from trees. Anything that has mass also has gravity. Mass is the amount of matter in an object. The larger the mass of an object, the stronger its gravity. Because the Earth is so massive, its gravity is very strong, pulling everything toward its center. Gravity also keeps the Earth orbiting around the Sun, and the Moon orbiting around the Earth. Without gravity, we would all float off into space.
